Our Doctors
Our five
rheumatologists are all board certified in Internal Medicine and
Rheumatology, and have a combined 72 years of specialty
experience. It is very important to our physicians to offer
care with empathy and compassion. This means taking enough time
during appointments, answering questions thoroughly, and being
accessible. We are available for urgent appointments, and all
new patients can be seen within one to two weeks or the same
day if requested by a referring physician.
Patients see
one doctor (except in emergencies), thereby assuring continuity
of care and an individualized doctor patient atmosphere giving
the physician the ability to establish personalized and detailed
relationships.
Our doctors
pride themselves in remaining thoroughly up to date in Internal
Medicine and Rheumatology via an active role in the medical
community. Our doctors host the Northern Kentucky Rheumatology
Journal Club in which the latest medical literature is reviewed,
and lead the Tri-state Biologics Club in which the latest
medical treatments are presented and discussed. Our doctors
give monthly lectures and provide supervised training to Family
Practice residents at St. Elizabeth teaching hospital.
In an effort
to offer cutting edge treatment options, Doctors Kunath, Burte, Temming,
Varghese and Colglazier are members of the Cincinnati Rheumatic
Disease Study Group which offers innovative treatment trials for
interested patients.
We are members
of the American Medical Association (AMA), American College of
Physicians – American Society of Internal Medicine (ACP-ASIM),
American College of Rheumatology (ACR), Kentucky Rheumatology
Association (KRA), and American Society of Clinical
Rheumatologists (ASCR)
As our
founding physician, Dr. Arthur Kunath, says, “We offer a center
of rheumatologic excellence equal to any in the United States.”
