About
Us
Doctors Kunath,
Burte, Temming, Varghese, and Colglazier comprise the
largest Rheumatology practice in the Northern Kentucky
area. Founded by Dr. Kunath in 1986, the practice now
consists of five doctors who are board certified in both
Internal Medicine and Rheumatology.
We have made every
effort to customize our facility for the convenience of
our patients. Our office was designed for easy
accessibility for patients with arthritis and arthritis
related disabilities. Our one floor stair-less office
has ample parking immediately in front, and wide
hallways to accommodate wheelchairs and walkers.
Our facility
provides comprehensive diagnostic and treatment
capabilities minimizing the need to travel for other
diagnostic or treatment purposes. Our on-site services
include radiology (x-ray), laboratory, bone
densitometry, extremity MRI, and a Physical Therapy
department designed specifically for rheumatology
patients.
Our entire staff,
from receptionists, nurses, medical assistance,
phlebotomists, and radiology technicians to insurance
specialists are extensions of our doctors’ desire to be
sensitive to our patients' comfort and special needs.
Our
doctors are active leaders in the medical community,
hosting the Northern Kentucky Rheumatology Journal Club
in which the latest medical literature is reviewed, and
heading the Tri-state Biologics Club in which the latest
medical treatments are presented and discussed.
Our doctors give monthly lectures and provide supervised
training to Family Practice residents at St. Elizabeth
teaching hospital, and provide training opportunities
for
University of
Cincinnati Internal Medicine residents and Rheumatology
fellows.
In an effort
to offer cutting edge treatment options, Doctors Kunath, Burte, Temming,
Varghese and Colglazier are members of the Cincinnati Rheumatic
Disease Study Group which offers innovative treatment trials for
interested patients.
We are members of the American Medical
Association (AMA), American College of Physicians –
American Society of Internal Medicine (ACP-ASIM),
American College of Rheumatology (ACR), Kentucky
Rheumatology Association (KRA), and the American Society of
Clinical Rheumatologists (ASCR).
